Avignonesi Rosso 20072008 IGT Toscana

Avignonesi is a well regarded winery in Tuscany, consisting of a group of four farms which each specialise in particular grape varieties. The grapes for this blend come from the 39Le Capezzine39, 39La Selva39 and 39La Lombarda39 estates, each located at around 300m altitude. A smooth and well rounded red, with a food friendly 39middleweight39 feel, and the classic cherry like Tuscan fruit, amid lush swathes of blackcurrant and damson flavours. Partner with richly textured meat dishes such as Moussaka.
